Burley Oak Brewing Company started with a simple idea: turn a passion for brewing into something that could make a real difference in Berlin, Maryland. Back in 2009, during the height of the recession, Burley Oak founder and owner Bryan Brushmiller decided to dive headfirst into brewing full-time—not just to chase a dream, but to create local jobs and give back to the community that’s always been home.

Since then, the Burley team has worked hard to make a place where everyone feels welcome, like you’re kicking back in a buddy’s living room with your favorite beer in hand. When it comes to beer, we’ve got something for everyone—from go-to classics to our wildly popular fruited sours inspired by Berliner Weisse. Lately, Burley Oak has ventured to new beverage options with canned craft cocktails and small-batch vodkas, too.

When you’re here, it’s more than just great drinks. There’s our cozy taproom, the cellar with killer cocktails and food, outdoor seating, and all kinds of events—live music, workshops, and local art on display. At the heart of it all, we’re here because of this amazing community, and we’re all about giving that support right back!
